Want to celebrate your birthday with class, but run a bit short of money? Don’t worry, you don’t have to party like a rock star or throw posh parties to enjoy great fun. The key lays in creativity. From a picnic in the woods to an axe throwing club, our article abounds with inspirations.
Picnic with friends
When you have your birthday in some warmer months, take out your friends to the bosom of nature. Prepare some foods (salads, snacks, refreshments, a bottle of wine), pack it to your rucksack and enjoy the beauty of pristine nature with birds singing and grass rustling. Warn your friends to take some blankets, just in case it will get a bit cold.
Scavenger hunt
Staying outdoors, what can be better than a classic scavenger hunt? It combines logical thinking with outdoor activity and exploring your surroundings, so that gradually you get to the bottom. Ask your friend for help or prepare it yourself, coming up with some creative actions to do.
Escape Rooms
Who of you didn’t like to be a detective and solve riddles in your childhood? Now you can get back to those idyllic times and test your logical thinking in some really wacky, cool cases to solve. Try to get out of one of the locked rooms before the end of an arranged time.
Potluck Party
There’s nothing bad in asking your guests to come with their own food. Actually it can be a great fun to try various meals and schools of cooking. This way you’ll be able to throw a delicious dinner with starters, main meals and desserts. Of course you cannot forget about a delicious, homemade punch.
Barbeque/bonfire
Once again, if only the weather is propitious, why not use it and organize a small bonfire or a bbq party for your friends? You can buy a portable grill, which won’t be a big expense and enjoy yummy slices of meat or your favorite vegetables. Ask your guests to bring their own beers or whatever alcohol they want and you won’t need anything more.
Bowling
A bit more expensive, as you have to pay for the lane (or lanes, depending on the number of guests). But still the cost is bearable, having in mind that you can eat, drink and enjoy a friendly rivalry with your closest ones. It’s up to you, whether you pay for everything or ask your guests to split the bill.
Axe Throwing
The cost may be similar to bowling, but just as in the previous case, it is fully worth it. How many times you had a chance to throw an axe on a carefully prepared track? Axe throwing clubs became a really hot attraction in America, now taking by storm the European markets. When you visit Bad Axe club in Krakow, you can also take part in a nail hammering competition. All the guests can dress up as Vikings and take commemorative photos!
